The RIAA has announced Jay Z’s new album 4:44 has been certified platinum.
JAY-Z’s 4:44 is a Tidal only release at this point. Meaning we don’t really have any sales info besides the numbers coming from the company he owns. Nevertheless, the RIAA has seen enough to declare that 4:44 has accumulated the one million sales and streams necessary to be a Platinum album.
The announcement came with a photo of Hov standing next to his new plaque, along with the message: “Props to JAY, he’s done it again!”

That gives Hov his 13th Platinum album, which is the most in Hip Hop history.
