2 Chainz Says He ‘Doesn’t Know Anything’ About Eminem Collaboration

After revealing a collaboration with Eminem, 2 Chainz is backing off his previous comments.

Speaking to Hot 97, Tity Boi claims that he has no knowledge of the highly-anticipated collab. “I don’t know anything,” he said.

When told that Slim Shady was reportedly in the lab with Dr. Dre, 2 Chainz added: “Yeah, let’s put that on Dre. He’s probably working with Dre.”

Just days before this interview, 2 Chainz told DJ Drama that Eminem called him to collaborate on a song off his next album. According to that conversation, Tity Boi spit a verse on the track, in which he rhymed Adam’s apple with tabernacle.

Last month, the Atlanta spitter teased the collaboration when he shared a picture of himself with Marshall Mathers. “Sooo,” he wrote. “This just happened. #marshalllikestrapmusic.”

While the fate of the alleged track remains a mystery, 2 Chainz is already working on his next album, which will feature production from Statik Selektah and Q-Tip.

“My next album is going to be solid, conceptual, well thought-out,” he said. “I actually started on the album that I was working on with [Q-Tip] before Pretty Girls Like Trap Music but it was time for that. The album that I’m working on now has a few sample-loaded [songs].”

Q-Tip is taking on a big role on this upcoming project, which he originally started with Statik. “I want [Tip] to be more of a curator of my next project,” said Chainz. “I just respect what he has done. I told him, ‘Imagine a trappin’ ass Midnight Marauders.”

Midnight Marauders is A Tribe Called Quest’s third album, a critically-acclaimed effort that featured hits like “Award Tour” and “Electric Relaxation.”
