The-Dream is celebrating the birth of his eighth child Maverick, who was born this week.

Taking to Instagram, the R&B crooner shared a photo of his newborn daughter’s footprints. “She’s finally here, Happy Birthday ‘Maverick’ it’s your day,” he wrote. “#Blessing also she’s living proof IUDs might not work😂😂😂meant to be!”

The IUD refers to the intrauterine device, which is meant to prevent pregnancy. According to Parents, the method is said to have a 99.7 percent efficacy rate.

Maverick is the couple’s third child together, joining their sons Lord and Heir. The-Dream also has three children (daughter Navy and twin sons London and Christian) with his former wife Nivea; a daughter (Violet) with ex-wife Christina Milian; and a son with his former girlfriend Lydia Nam.

Up next, the proud papa is working on his Love Affair album, which is set to follow last year’s Love You to Death EP.
