Beenie Man Gets Booed Off Stage In Zimbabwe

Dancehall veteran Beenie man left fans upset in Africa during the Zimbabwe stop of his ‘Unstoppable Tour’ over the weekend.

The ‘King of Dancehall’ reportedly failed to deliver during his set at the inaugural Spring Festival at Alexandra Sports Club in Harare which resulted in fans booing him off stage.

According to reports, thousands of Zimbabweans were furious following the ‘Girls Dem Sugar’ deejay’s subpar performance. Thankfully local reggae-dancehall artist Winky D was also booked and saved the show.

“I was very disappointed. Beenie Man’s performance showed that he is now struggling probably with age,” one patron told the local media. “He was not at his best where he can be considered as a great entertainer as he played second fiddle to Winky D.”

However others opted to defend the Doc blaming his busy touring schedule, “He has been touring all summer so I just think that people are being too hard on him,” one fan said. “When all is said and done Beenie Man is still one of the greatest dancehall artists in the world and we love him. I look forward to seeing him come back to Zimbabwe. Beenie your always welcome here.”

According to another report, Beenie Man should count his lucky stars that his ‘miserable’ performance only invited explicit and offensive shouting and not missiles from revellers.
