Wayne suffered multiple seizures and was hospitalized in Chicago over the weekend, according to several reports. The health concerns caused him to cancel a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas after doctors advised him against flying.

After announcing that Wayne would be replaced by T.I., concert promoters offered their support for Weezy on Instagram. “Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money / Maverick team are valued partners and members of the Drai’s LIVE family,” they wrote. “Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai’s wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time.”

As previously reported, Wayne has had an extensive history with seizures, and in 2013, he said that they were caused by epilepsy. “The bad news is I’m an epileptic,” he explained. “I’m prone to seizures. This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them.”
