Tommy Lee Sparta is blaming his former mentor Vybz Kartel for a few setbacks in his career, especially his travel restrictions.
The Gothic Dancehall artist along with former Portmore Empire/Gaza member Popcaan are yet to secure a United States visa allegedly due to their close affiliation with the incarcerated Dancehall superstar.
According to the “40 Ball” deejay, it’s always difficult for him when traveling overseas for shows and he’s certain it’s due to his previous link with Vybz Kartel.
“I feel like they put something on my name,” Sparta said. “Every time I try to travel, they treat me different, like I am some bomber. When they run my passport, Vybz Kartel business come up and everything. They are acting like I am involved in certain things and pure red lines come up on my documents at the airports. I don’t know who did it to my documents.”
Tommy Lee Sparta has been named a person of interest several times in his hometown of Montego Bay and Kingston since Vybz Kartel’s incarceration. He is also awaiting trial on lottery scamming charges.
