Mystikal has been indicted on one count of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree kidnapping in connection with the Shreveport, La. case that first made headlines last month.
Last month, the rapper born Michael Lawrence Tyler turned himself in “to get this business reconciled” and to “get this behind” him, according to statements he made to KSLA. Now, his bond has been set at $3 million.
Two others have also been indicted in the same case, including 26-year-old Averweone Darnell Holman (one count each of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping) and 42-year-old Tenichia Monieck Wafford (one count of obstruction of justice). Holman’s bond has been set at $3 million while Wafford’s bond was set at $500,000.
The “Danger” rapper has reportedly denied these allegations, according to a source, who previously stated that he plans on pleading not guilty.
This is not the first time that Mystikal has been in trouble for similar offenses. In 2003, he pled guilty to sexual battery and extortion charges. Upon his release in 2010, he was registered as a sex offender.
