Alkaline had a few harsh words for Tony Matterhorn over the weekend during his birthday bash.
The Dancehall deejay was hosting his birthday party for his loyal Vendetta fans on Friday night at Club Euro in Fort Lauderdale, Florida when Matterhorn decided to play a song from his long time rival Vybz Kartel.
Alkaline and his crew immediately stepped in and pulled the microphone from the veteran Dancehall selector and called him out.
“Know weh yah bumboclt do eno,” the “Badness It Name” deejay told Matterhorn, “Doh gwan like you wan style the thing because mi can style the thing too but fi the love of mi fans mi nah guh do that, but yah py fi dat weh yuh just do,” he added.
On Saturday, Vybz Kartel’s Instagram account updated its bio questioning the quality of a Dancehall event that doesn’t play his tracks while laughing at his long time rival.
“What is a party without Vybz Kartel?????!!! DWBCL!,” the update read. Meanwhile, sources close to the incarcerated Dancehall superstar says Alkaline’s actions proofs he’s intimidated by the ‘Fever’ deejay.’
“All a dat never call fah eno, Maggie addi same one who play the blind bwoy [Alkaline] a Vybz party last year, suh maybe him just a balance it,” source said. “But dem just a look hype online because dem ano no bad man inna real life.”
Tony Matterhorn broke his silence on the topic Saturday afternoon. According to the ‘Dutty Wine’ hit maker Alkaline was very disrespectful however he decided to be the bigger person.
“Alkaline was very rude for calling me a p***y and if i wanted to escalate it and hurt him i could’ve done that but it’s not all the time when you have the power to hurt someone you hurt them,” he told fans during an Instagram live session.
Matterhorn added that Alkaline had nothing personal against him but wanted to send a message to Vybz Kartel and he was caught in the middle, “Alkaline nuh diss Matterhorn, Alkaline yuh diss yourself and you’re trying to diss Vybz Kartel indirectly.” View below.
