Cardi B capped off an incredible 2017 with a visit to “The Tonight Show” on Wednesday (Dec. 20). But instead of hitting the stage like she’s done in the past, the record-breaking rapper was a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s show.

Dressed in a festive green fur-clad ensemble, the always-charming Cardi dished about her new 21 Savage-assisted single “Bartier Cardi,” which drops tonight. “I named it ‘Bartier Cardi’ because I don’t want Cartier to sue me,” she laughed.

Speaking of jewelry, Cardi also gushed about her 8-karat engagement ring, which her fiancé Offset gave her during a concert earlier this year. “He always used to tell me, ‘I’m gonna marry you.’ It’s like, it’s the right thing to do,” she said. “I knew he was gonna get me a real expensive gift because he wasn’t there for my birthday, but I thought he was gonna get me a watch or something. He just went out his way.”

Bardi said she won’t be the one giving out gifts to other adults this holiday season. “Everybody that I know got kids and that’s just a lot of kids,” she said. “And I got new god kids out of nowhere. Once you start making money, everybody wants you to be their kids’ godmother or something.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Cardi spoke on the success and validation of “Bodak Yellow.” “It feels good because I really worked my ass off for it. It finally pays off,” she said. “I have been proven.”

The song has also earned her two Grammy nominations, which she’s especially proud of. “I already feel like a winner,” said Cardi.
