Drake Reportedly Leaving Jordan Brand For Adidas

Drake is reportedly plotting a move from Jordan Brand to Adidas.

According to Sole Collector, which cites multiple footwear industry sources, Drizzy is unhappy with his current partnership with the Nike-owned brand and is looking for a way to exit in order to find more creative control under adidas.

The 6 God has been tied to Jordan Brand since 2013. Since then, he’s launched a series of OVO sneaker and apparel collaborations and has rapped about the brand, most notably on the Future-assisted “Jumpman.”

There has been no sign of tension between Drake and Jordan Brand of late. The rapper gave away Jordan sneakers while filming the music video for “God’s Plan,” in which he wore Nike products. Additionally, Drizzy donned Jordan Brand prominently in the video for BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive.”

Most recently, during NBA All-Star Weekend, the Toronto superstar released an OVO/Jordan Brand Air Jordan 8 collaboration.

If he were to join the Three Stripes, Drizzy would be part of an umbrella that already includes Kanye West and Pharrell Williams, who have designed their own sneakers through individual deals.
