Drake may be hiding the world from his son, but the world is getting a first look at his baby boy.
After confirming paternity rumors on his new album Scorpion, alleged photos of the child have surfaced, reportedly taken shortly after Sophie Brussaux gave birth. The mother is seen wearing a hospital bracelet and kissing her baby in one of the tagged Instagram pics, which was uncovered by Gossip in the City (via DJ Akademiks).
Drake addresses his son, reportedly named Adonis, on two tracks off Scorpion. “Yesterday morning was crazy,” he raps on the closer “March 14.” “I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That shit’s in stone, sealed and signed / She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine.”
According to Drake, he only met his son once on Christmas Day. “I only met you one time, introduced you to St. Nick,” he raps. “I think he must have brought you like 20 gifts.”
The Mariah Carey-sampled “Emotionless” also makes reference to fatherhood. “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid,” raps Drake.
Despite alluding to a tumultuous relationship with the mother (“Hopefully, by the time you hear this, me and your mother will have come around”), Drake has reportedly been financially supporting Adonis and Brussaux.
