Cardi B and The Carters Lead VMA Nominations

Cardi B is drippin’ in nominations at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper leads with 10 nominations, including Video, Song, and Artist of the Year, while JAY-Z and Beyoncé aka The Carters follow with eight, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Hip-Hop for their Everything Is Love single “APES**T.”

Drake and Childish Gambino score seven nominations each, while Bruno Mars earns six.

The nominees in the hotly-contested Video of the Year category include Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left to Cry,” Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse (Remix),” Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s “Havana,” The Carters’ “APES**T,” Childish Gambino’s “This Is America,” and Drake’s “God’s Plan.”

The VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
