Netflix is in the lead to secure Black Stallions, a new script that features Get Out’s Lil Rel Howery, Kevin Hart, and Don Cheadle, Deadline reports. The comedy focuses on competing brother jockeys, with Howery and Cheadle as the leads. The writer behind Uncle Drew, Jay Longino, is set to write the script.
Hart, Howery, and Cheadle have all had successful years in their own right. Hart’s last role was in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and he’s slated to star in Night School and The Secret Life of Pets 2. Howery followed his breakout role in Get Out with a part in Uncle Drew and a starring role in the forthcoming Fox series Rel. Howery was also cast in Netflix’s Sandra Bullock-starring film Bird Box. Cheadle’s most recent role was in Avengers: Infinity War.
