Tragedy struck the set of “Power” when a production assistant was killed during an on-set accident.

Pedro Jimenez, 63, was setting up traffic cones for a location shoot in Brooklyn around 4:20 a.m. when he was struck by an SUV, reports TMZ. Jimenez was transported to a Brooklyn hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

50 Cent, who starred in “Power” and is one of the show’s executive producers, addressed Jimenez’ death in a heartfelt post. “I just learned we lost Pedro Jimenez, a member of the Power production team early this morning,” he wrote. “My prayers and condolences are with the entire Jimenez family.”

“Power” stars Omari Hardwick and Naturi Naughton also remembered Jimenez on social media. “NO team ever imagines losing a teammate. Let alone like this,” Hardwick wrote on Instagram, while Naughton added, “Truly shocked and saddened! Losing one of our own really hit home today!”

An investigation is currently underway. The NYPD has spoken with the 64-year-old driver of the SUV, who is also a “Power” crew member. No arrests have been made.

Jimenez had worked on the Starz drama series since its premiere in 2014. Filming for the show’s sixth season was halted out of respect for his family and to allow the cast and crew time to grieve, according to Page Six.
