Chris Brown has been released from police custody — without being charged, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The 29-year-old singer, who was accused of rape Tuesday by a French model, is reportedly allowed to leave the country now after being questioned by authorities.
Brown has taken to social media to deny the allegations.
“I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false,” he wrote on Instagram.
Brown’s accuser — who’s only been identified as Karima — claims the assault went down in the R&B star’s suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris on Jan. 16. She says the singer was smoking weed and snorting cocaine that night, and at one point, tried to take her into a bathroom.
Cops, however, questioned Brown about the incident — along with two others — and released them Tuesday without charges, according to Paris officials.
The prosecutor’s office told TMZ that Brown is free to leave France. They said the investigation is ongoing.
Brown’s lawyer, Raphael Chiche, has told reporters that he plans to sue for defamation.
