Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang are back for Toy Story 4, and the first full-length trailer is here to prepare us for what might be Disney/Pixar’s last film in the series.
In the fourth installation, for the first time ever, we see the whole crew leave their home and go on a family road trip with their new human, Bonnie. Things get a little sticky when Bonnie’s favorite arts and crafts project Forky (voiced by Tony Hale) decides he’s not meant for the toy life and flings himself out of the family RV. As Woody goes on a mission to find Forky, the two end up in a small town where they meet a bunch of new faces, and old ones too.
We’re also introduced to three new characters: Keanu Reeves as stuntman action figure Duke Caboom, Ally Maki as toy police officer Officer Giggle McDimples, and Christina Hendricks as the story’s villain, Gabby Gabby. Bo Peep returns after a two-decade absence, still voiced by Annie Potts.
It’s been nine years since Toy Story 3 hit theaters and grossed a franchise high of $1.07 billion, contributing to the series’ overall gross of $1.97 billion. Toy Story 3 was originally thought to be the last chapter—until filmmaker Josh Cooley breathed new life into the Toy Story universe.
