Nipsey Hussle’s Family Declines Charity, Says Kids Are Financially Secure

The family of the late rapper Nipsey Hussle is politely turning down any fundraising efforts to support his children because their father has ensured their financial security.

According to TMZ, Nipsey made sure his daughter Emani, 7, and son Kross, 2, would never have to rely on other people for money.

There have been multiple crowdfunding pages set up, including the one by former NFL star Reggie Bush, who launched a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising $100,000 for Nipsey’s kids. He also personally contributed $10,000, but the fundraiser has since been removed from the internet.

Nipsey was a savvy businessman. Not only did he own his master recordings, he also owned real estate as well as his Marathon Clothing store. He also reportedly set up multiple trust funds to make sure his kids and family would never need a handout.

While the family appreciates the efforts, they want everyone to know that Nipsey’s kids are taken care of and are financially secure. Nipsey wouldn’t want it any other way, according to a family member.

Two weeks after his death, the tributes to the slain rapper continue to pour in. His mural now appears on a public basketball court outside Crete Academy charter school in the Crenshaw District, which is just blocks away from where he was killed. The mural, painted by artist Gustavo Zermeno, includes a portrait of Nipsey with the words: “The highest human act is to inspire.”

Nipsey Hussle loved basketball and community, so they built a court with a mural to honor him 🙏
